Hi,
Do any of you collect anything? I collect tactile keychains, and small figureens of knights.

I collect Harry Potter stuff, although it sucks that a lot of it is so expensive. Just got a handbag like the one Hermione has in the books/movies.

I collect talking clocks, mostly the cheap ones you can get on Ebay and through the catalogs. I do not look for rare Eighties-vintage talking clocks because there's no way I can afford them, so it's strictly stuff made from about the time of the first pyramid clock onward.
I also collect DVDs. I mean, I watch them, but I enjoy stuff like old low-budget horror and sci-fi flicks and old cartoons, some series I've only heard of but never seen. I also like older TV shows up through the Seventies I guess.

I collect polished stones, coins, shot glasses, and zippo lighters. When I'm rich, I'm going to start collecting rare guitars!

I collect knives, bullets and shellcasings, zippo lighters, and I'm trying to start a gun collection.

Oooooh Knives? lol This may not be too common of most girls, but I've just recently started a pocket knife collection, and it's growing faster than I expected. lol

keychains all the way.

Knives, stones, shells, etc. all cool things to collect.
@Post1: Knight figurines? That sounds rare and interesting. IMHO hold onto those: they could be worth something someday.

One summer I had a what might be caled odd collection. This was like ages ago.. When I would go somewhere, like to a neighbor's, I would have some jars that I had collected previously and then ask if I might fill the collected containeer with say a bit of garden soil from their garden, or sand, or little pebbles.. If they said yes , then the say sand or pebbles placed into the jar, and a label placed with it as far as saying from whom and the date and , well.. like I said, perhaps a bit of an odd thing to do..

I'm a record collecter, as some of you guys know. I don't particularly collect a genre or anything, but people give me records and no matter what's on them, i won't throw them away, though I do sometimes sell them on. I mainly collect 78 rpm records, gramaphone records in other words, from the 1910s to the 50s, and doo wop stuff and folk music, and jazz. I also download a lot of stuff, mostly stuff that's way out of coppyrite etc.
I'm working on digitising my 78s, of which i have litterally thousands, all over the house and this is one hell of a project.

That is really neat. When I have the space in which to do so, and the money to burn, I'd like to start collecting early blues records.

I have a hard drive full of early blues, but not many 78s of it because that really is the megga expencive stuff. if blues really is your thing i can recomend you some cool sites to hear it at, if you're interested.
I'd also like to collect black gosbel stuff pre about 1950, that stuff is amazing, but hard to find so the only stuff i have is in digital form.

DJ Outrage, Could you please reccommend some blues and such? Also what is that dubstep band that Roxtar was talking about? I think your rinternet radio streams it. is it called Tangerine? I looked it up on Pandora, but it wasn't there. Where else should I look? Leo, my knight figurines are plastic, but rather detailed. You can get them at any small local toy shop and they aren't very valuable, just interesting to feel, since their sheilds, helmets, and faces are very well-crafted and detailed. They aren't poseable though but ah well. I also collect Lego sets. I use to have a large amount when I was smaller and I used to build them with my dad, but now that he is busy, my friend decided to braille the instructions to various sets, that she's goven to me as presents, my largest set that I've built so far, is a castle which is 842 peices, rather large for a lego set. I'm currently working on a very large Creator store, with flors, and it's over 2000 peices. If I finish it, that would be awesome, since I'm rather busy with school and extracurricular stuff and don't have much free time.
Cameron, Rare guitars, that's awesome. Is it true that there is a guitar with two necks?

honestly, i'd have to hear a bit of the dubstep in question to be able to tell you that, i play a lot and i mean a lot of dubstep lol

well, some of my favourite blues artists/singers are
sun house
blind lemon jefferson
misisippi fred mcdowel who's name i've misspelled
howlin wolf
i really could go on but...

I miss my records! I have moved too often to make record collecting practical, but if I ever think I'm in a permanent place, I'll take it up, again. Music just seems more valuable and interesting if issuing forth from a spinning disc.

Silly, but the only thing resembling a collection I currently have is a few vintage telephones--I like my phones to ring, not burble or buzz--and talking clocks. There are actually communities online of folks who collect antique and vintage telephones, so maybe i'm not such a freak for that. LOL

I live away from most of my records, but there are some lp's i can not hear digitally, you know? i'm that way about mostly jazz, and classical music. for example I have a box set of most of chopin's piano work and when i got the same music digitally it just wasn't the same...

When I was little, I collected seashells.
